Ms. Soto is a graduate of the Music Therapy program at the University of the Incarnate Word where she received a Bachelor of Music. She has 10 years of experience working in liturgical music in her home parish and in campus ministry as an accompanist and co-choir director.
Ms. Soto’s primary instrument is piano with guitar and voice as secondary instruments. Her practical music therapy experience has been with elementary school age children and young adolescents with physical or mental disabilities and behavior disorders.
Ms. Soto uses an eclectic mix of teaching methods and styles of music but prefers classical and baroque repertoire. While studying at Incarnate Word she discovered the joy of collaborating with vocal students and other instrumentalists as an accompanist. She is seeking opportunities to continue the development of this skill and broaden her repertoire. Her favorite leisure activities bring her back to music. She loves to discover music new to her, both classics and newly released works. She is nurturing an interest in piano composition. In her personal time, Ms. Soto enjoys reading and watching TV shows and movies on Netflix.
